About

Dylan Ogdahl (b. 2002, Michigan) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Chicago, where he graduated with a BFA from The Art Institute of Chicago in 2025, focusing on fibers and ceramics.

His fiber practice explores the shifting terrain of his identity through the complexities of comfort, perception, and representation. Inspired by both historical craft traditions and contemporary queer culture, Ogdahl’s work investigates how desire, confusion, and chance can intersect across material and media through weaving and soft sculpture.

His ceramic work echoes a similar exploration, however is more centered on an appreciation for technique, currently with a love for ancient ceramic throwing and glazing practices. Embracing experimentation, his work resists a fixed resolution, instead reflecting an ongoing process of becoming.
